With a mission to provide quality medical education within a modern academic environment, Kathmandu Medical College and Teaching Hospital was established in the year 1997. Located in the Kathmandu valley, it has proved to be one of the leading private medical colleges in Nepal. It has not only been permanently affiliated to the Kathmandu University, Nepal Medical Council and Srilanka Medical Council but has also been listed in the WHO’s World Directory of Medical Schools electronic format since June 2000. Popularly known as KMC, the college has also been listed in the International Medical Education Directory (IMED) following its full recognition by NMC.
